It is no secret that young adults today are dealing with a great deal of stress. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among youth between the ages of 12 and 18. The work I do supports adolescents, parents and youth serving professionals.
As a Licensed School Social Worker and Mindfulness Instructor, I am dedicated to bringing trauma informed practices into the classroom. By creating an environment that is nurturing and inclusive, we are providing a space in which adolescents can thrive.
This work isn't about fixing the teen or making them do something. Every single one of us is naturally creative, resourceful, resilient and whole. As a life coach and instructor, my role is to hold space for the young person's experience while supporting them in recognizing their values and identifying their strengths.
Whether I am working with youth in foster care, youth involved in the juvenile justice system, or high school students struggling with academics, I am committed to improving transition outcomes for all youth and supporting them in developing self-efficacy within the different areas of their lives.
